July 16th is National Corn Fritters Day! To many, these are called hush puppies and not corn fritters. Whatever the term you use, celebrate today by making a batch for lunch or dinner today.
Keep calm and walk on past the GMO corn and choose fresh picked organic corn for use in a batch of corn fritters (aka hush puppies).
Hush puppies are quick to make, are made with easily found and inexpensive ingredients, and are generally served with fried fish or seafood.

Of course, the best corn for hush puppies is the corn you grow and pick yourself. Next year, consider growing one of these heirloom varieties from Heritage Seeds.
